The Trusted Leader Training Programme - The future of leadership 

The Trusted Leader is a professionally accredited 20-week online training programme that has been developed to meet the needs of today’s leader. Based on transformational coaching techniques, modern neuroscience and with insights and direct feedback from people in roles very similar to yours, this course is designed to help you become a powerful and empowering, inspiring, confident and effective leader, with an authentic style and approach that feels absolutely true to you.

As a manager, leader or business owner you can be at the forefront of this change, learning new skills and tools that will stand to you in all aspects of your life and help you grow and develop personally as well as professionally.

Over the course of 20 weeks you’ll learn how to:

  • Improve listening skills, become more reflective and understand how to ask the right questions at the right time

  • Reduce stress and anxiety with quick, effective techniques that can immediately diffuse tense situations 


Training as The Trusted Leader - what’s involved?

The Trusted Leader is a 20 week online training programme that will give you a recognised qualification accredited by the Association for Coaching. The course is built on 3 learning modules, each containing 4 online units and requires a time commitment of 5 hours per week. This includes live online support, executive peer coaching, peer support, executive case study coaching, coach mentoring, self-study, 3 written assignments and a recorded coaching assessment.  

The course has been designed to be very flexible so that you can fit it into your busy work and home schedule.

Once you have signed up, you’ll be given immediate access to our Private Facebook Group which is a busy hub where we share experiences and valuable content, and learn from and support each other as we work through the training together. The group is closed to protect the privacy of members and everything we share is confidential.


Course outline

Module 1 - The Effective Leader

The Effective Leader Module provides a practical, experiential introduction to the key principles, skills and approaches that underpin effective leadership by adopting a coaching approach in the corporate world. It provides a clear, structured model of coaching, enabling you to develop your own individual style.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of Module 1 participants will:

  1. Know what coaching is and how it works
  2. Know how coaching differs from other forms of support (Assignment 1)
  3. Have deepened leadership communication skills
  4. Have heightened self-awareness and increased personal responsibility
  5. Become aware of the AC competency framework
  6. Have begun to develop a leadership tool kit that will support them in improved communication with self and others
  7. Have formed strong connections within the Mindful Talent community of leaders and coaches, to support their ongoing personal and professional development


Module 2 -  Deepening your leadership capability: Presence and awareness

Module 2 begins by building on the experiential training of The Effective Leader (Module 1).  Having gained an understanding of the ACORN Coaching Framework, the underpinning skills and principles, and touched on some elements of the neuroscientific base, we now step further into the competency-based approach to deepen your capacity as a leader and help you find your own voice.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of Module 2 participants will:

  1. Have a clearer sense of their own leadership and coaching style and approach
  2. Be aware of their own personal values and can stay aligned to them
  3. Become more aware, in the moment, of their own presence and how this impacts on the coaching relationship
  4. Know how to use deeper questioning to bring awareness and insight to the coachee
  5. Know how to keep the coaching process moving forward and keep the coachee engaged
  6. Have good use of ‘self’ as a resource for the development of the client’s self-awareness and learning by offering ‘here and now’ feedback.


Module 3 - Building your leadership capacity: Sustaining and maintaining continuous growth

Module 3 supports you in creating powerful endings so that you are ready for the next chapter in your career as an authentic and effective leader. It’s a celebration of all that you’ve achieved and all the new skills you’ve gained.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of Module 3 participants will:

  1. Be ready to take the next step in their journey as a leader who adopts a coaching approach
  2. Be competent in guiding a coachee through the whole coaching process
  3. Be confident in how to end a coaching process powerfully
  4. Have fully self-assessed their ability as a leader, and designed an action plan to move forward
  5. Have developed a clear focus for the continuation of how to apply their coaching approach in a corporate environment
  6. Have established their leadership identity and feel at home with their leadership presence
